LIST OF PASSERS: September 2019 LET Results Teachers Board Exam (Elementary & Secondary)

MANILA, Philippines (Released 12/01/2019) – The September 2019 Licensure Exam for Teachers (LET) Results (Elementary and Secondary levels) together with the list of passers, top 10 examinees, top performing schools and performance of school are available at this website as PRC officially releases the results online on December 1, 2019 or in fifty (50) working days after the board examinations.

As announced, 28,973 elementary teachers out of 92,440 examinees (31.34%) and 54,179 secondary teachers out of 136,523 examinees (39.68%) successfully passed.

PRC further announced that of the 28,973 elementary teacher passers, 24,066 are first timers and 4,907 are repeaters while for the secondary teachers, 48,447 passers are first timers and 5,732 are repeaters.

The results of examination with respect to seven (7) examinees were withheld pending final determination of their liabilities under the rules and regulations governing licensure examinations.

The LET September 2019 were administered by PRC Board of Professional Teachers headed by its Chairman, Dr. Rosita L. Navarro, Vice Chairman Dr. Paz Lucido, and its members Dr. Paraluman R. Giron and Dr. Nora M. Uy on September 29, 2019.

Final Update: LET results are out! Congratulations to the new LPTs!

December 1, 2019: First day of December will be a very big blessing to our new sets of professional teachers.

November 30, 2019: Tomorrow, December 1, 2019 is the new target release date of LET results September 2019 (per PRC official reply). Stand by teachers!

November 29, 2019 (Second update): September 2019 LET results are likely to be delayed by a day or two (2), source confirmed. We recommend to stand by from tomorrow, November 30, 2019 until Sunday, December 1, 2019 as passers are expected to be released very soon. The delay is presumably due to huge volume of PRC LET examinees.


November 29, 2019: “This is the day that the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it.” Stand by future LPTs! LET results are expected to be posted anytime within today, per PRC Resolution No. 1127 s. 2018.

November 28, 2019: Stand by from today until tomorrow for LET result and passers September 2019. Keep the faith future LPTs!

November 27, 2019: LET Results 2019 will be out on Friday, November 29?, Carl E. Balita hinted.

November 25, 2019: New sets of LPTs are expected to be announced in less than five (5) days.

November 24, 2019: LET results are in your hand teachers! This week, you’ll see  your name in the list.

November 22, 2019: In seven (7) days future LPTs! Congratulations in advance!

November 20, 2019: “Claim it and it will be yours.” The full results of LET September 2019 are expected to be published in nine (9) days. Good luck everyone!

November 13, 2019: LET/ Teachers board exam result is expected to be in less than three (3) weeks.

The September 2019 Board Licensure Exam for Professional Teachers (BLEPT) were conducted at testing centers located Hong Kong, Thailand and Philippines (Manila, Bacolod, Baguio, Batanes, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Catarman, Cebu, Kidapawan, Davao, General Santos, Iloilo, Laoag, Legazpi, Lucena, Masbate, Marinduque, Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, Palawan, Pagadian, Pampanga, Romblon, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga).

To be a LET license holder, (as per PRC), to quote,

“To pass the examination, an examinee must obtain an average rating of not less than 75% and must have no rating lower than 50% in any of the tests.”

RELEASE OF RESULTS

According to the Commission’s Resolution No. 1127 s. 2018 entitled “Schedule of Licensure Examination for Year 2019”, the target release of LET results September 2019 will be on November 29, 2019 or forty four (44) working days after the board exams. However, this may also be out earlier or later than the target date without prior notice.

The number of working days computed above is with respect to declared special non-working day on November 1, 2019, Friday or “All Saints’ Day”

In the recent LET conducted last March 2019, official result was out after forty two (42) working days while during September 2018, results were published after fifty two (52) working days.

INITIAL REGISTRATION

The schedule of online appointment for issuance of Professional ID and Certificate of Registration will be from December 16 to 20, 2019 and January 6 to 22, 2020.

PRC is strictly implementing the online registration system for all passers effective March 30, 2016. Initial registrants are advised to register online via http://online.prc.gov.ph/, an online application and registration portal of PRC.

Here are the registration requirements:

  • Notice of Admission (NOA) – for identification purposes
  • Duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal
  • Passport-sized ID Photos in white background and with complete name tag (2 pieces)
  • Documentary Stamps (2 sets)
  • Short Brown Envelope (1 piece)

PRC added that successful examinees shall personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

The September 2019 LET for elementary and secondary levels covered the following GenEd and ProfEd subjects:

General Education (GenEd)

  • English – Study and Thinking Skills, Writing in the Discipline, Speech and Oral Communication, Philippine Literature and Master Works of the World
  • Filipino – Komunikasyon sa Akademikong Pilipino, Pagbasa at Pagsulat sa Panananaliksik at Masining na Pagpapahayag
  • Mathematics – Fundamentals of Math, Plane Geometry, Elementary Algebra and Statistics and Probability
  • Science – Biological Science – General Biology, Physical Science with Earth Science
  • Social Sciences – Philippine Government New Constitution with Human Rights, Philippine History, Basic Economics, Taxation, Agrarian Reform, Society, Culture with Family Planning; Rizal and other Heroes, Philosophy of Man, Arts, General Psychology and Information and Communication Technology

Professional Education (ProfEd)

  • Teaching Profession, Social Dimensions of Education
  • Principles of Teaching, Educational Technology and Curriculum Development
  • Facilitating Learning, Child and Adolescent Development
  • Assessment of Student Learning, Developmental Reading
  • Field Study and Practice Teaching

Specialized and concrete subjects were covered in the examinations for the field of specialization specifically in English, Filipino, Biological Sciences, Physical Sciences, Mathematics, Social Studies and Social Sciences, Values Education, MAPEH, Agriculture and Fishery Arts and Technology and Livelihood Education.

USE OF CALCULATOR IN LET

It is also worth to note that starting the September 2019 LET, only those examinees in Mathematics major as area of specialization in Secondary level are allowed to use calculators.

Calculators are limited to functions/features including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, trigonometric function, logarithm and xy. Likewise, only one (1) calculator per examinee is allowed in examination room and will be thoroughly inspected by proctors for maximum compliance.

The new rule is pursuant to Resolution No. 25 s. 2019 issued by Board of Professional Teachers.

VERIFICATION OF RATING

Successful PRC LET passer September 2019 can refer to the official website and use the LERIS Verification Page to know their board examination rating. This usually comes few days after the posting of results. As posted, a passer shall only provide the exam name, the date of examination, the application number, first name, last name and the birth-date.

The date and venue of the oath-taking ceremonies come few weeks after the release of board exam.

LET SCHEDULE 2020

PRC announced that the first schedule of LET will be held on March 29, 2020 while the second schedule is on September 27, 2020.

PREVIOUS EXAMS

LET is currently the program with most number of examinees being administered by the Professional Regulation Commission.

In the most recent LET conducted last March 2019, 9,659 elementary teachers out of 72,054 examinees (27.28%) and 22,271 secondary teachers out of 85,823 examinees (25.95%) passed. The first two (2) spots in secondary level came from University of Mindanao – Davao City. Honey Gracielle Decosto Baclayo and Joseph Pre Enero, garnering a 93.40% and 92.80% respective ratings. In the elementary category, Stephanie Apple Miguel Pido from Compostela Valley State College – Montevista Branch ranked first having 93.20% rating followed by Emily Balagot Ligue from University of Mindanao – Davao City garnering 93.00%. UP Diliman was the top performing school in the secondary level having 90.77% overall passing rate while University of Southeastern Philippines – Tagum in Elementary level having 85.71%.

On September 2018 LET, 18,409 elementary teachers out of 90,750 examinees (20.29%) and 60,803 secondary teachers out of 126,582 examinees (48.03%) passed. Francis Dave Perez Cabanting from University of Southeastern Philippines in Davao City and Samuel John Estenor Parreño from University of Mindanao – Digos College shared the top spot in LET – Secondary level having 92.80% rating. In the elementary level, Rhea Joy Yes Genson from University of Southeastern Philippines from Davao City and Mariel Cataluña Saladaga from University of Southeastern Philippines – Tagum ranked first having 89.80%. In the list of best performing schools for LET September 2018, University of Santo Tomas ranked first in elementary level having an overall passing rate of 86.78%. In secondary level was University of the Philippines – Diliman having 94.19%.

On March 2018 L.E.T, 13,774 elementary teachers out of 58,323 examinees (23.62%) and 22,936 secondary teachers out of 76,673 examinees (29.91%) successfully passed. Kier Araula Baugbog from Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Valenzuela ranked first in the secondary level exams, garnering 92.40% rating followed by Arvin Sune Marasigan from UP Manila having 92.20%.  John Michael Tagayon Dela Paz from UP Diliman clinched the top spot having 88.80% rating followed by Mary Angeline Lagasca Cabal also from the same university having 88.60%. UP Diliman ranked first in the top performing schools’ list (secondary level) having 98.55% overall passing rate followed by University of Santo Tomas (UST) garnering 91.80%.

On September 2017 teachers board exams, 21,198 elementary teachers out of 80,509 examinees (26.33%) and 49,626 secondary teachers out of 107,020 (46.37%) successfully passed the exams. UST was the top performing school in elementary level having 113 out of 106 examinees passed or an overall passing rate of 93.81%. University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) ranked first in the secondary level having 98.33% or 59 out of 60 examinees passed.  Rhoy Autentico Omega from University of Mindanao – Davao City ranked first in the LET Secondary level exams garnering 93.80% rating followed by Brian Monpon Ba-An also from the same school having 92.60%. Mary Clarence Gepes Madero from West Visayas State University – La Paz ranked first in the exams garnering an average 88.80% rating.

During March 2017 LET, 5,600 elementary teachers out of 53,915 examinees (10.39%) and 18,482 secondary teachers out of 72,584 examinees (25.46%) successfully passed. UP Diliman was the top performing school in secondary level having 62 out of 67 examinees passed.  Samantha Christel Chua Gaerlan from De La Salle University – Manila topped in the elementary level garnering 90.60% rating. She was followed by Angelique Garcia de Vera from UP Diliman having 90.20%. Arian Kaye Fortinez Gallego from University of Mindanao – Davao City topped the secondary level garnering 92.80% rating. She was followed by Acejan Lascuña Jadie from De La Salle University – Dasmariñas having 92.60%.

    How does the PRC get away with this?? They are supposed to be setting the example! In any other country the results would be out on the scheduled date. What are you doing?? Cutting numbers from each region where you dont want new teachers? It wouldnt surprise me at all bcoz there is no transparency with the exams there! You cant see your test to dispute any scores! Time for a change i think and you should be audited. SHAMEFUL!!
